Scott’s recent cases include representing workers injured in logging accidents, consumers who have lost fingers while using defective dog leashes, and a catastrophic injury caused by a dangerously defective auger.  Scott gets professional satisfaction from holding corporate wrongdoers accountable, because safer products benefit society at large.

Away from the office, Scott volunteers his time to numerous causes, including serving on the Board of Directors of the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency, the Advisory Committee of Pioneer Pacific College Paralegal Program, and speaking to local high school students about the dangers of distracted driving (see www.endDD.org).

Scott is licensed to practice in federal and state court in Oregon, and serves on the Oregon State Bar Litigation Section Executive Committee. He also chairs the Lane County Bar Federal Courts Committee, and is a member of the American Association for Justice and Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, San Diego in Quantitative Economics and Decision Sciences, and his J.D. from the University of Oregon, where he was Articles Editor of the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation.
